A Geocartography Poll conducted by Prof. Avi Degani for Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) shows that if elections were held today, Yahadut Hatorah would almost double itself while the Machane Tzioni party will be decimated. Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party doubles itself as does Bayit Yehudi while Shas maintains its current position.
Following are the results of the poll released on Sunday, 3 Menachem Av. Inside the parenthesis is the number of seats held by the party in the current Knesset.
Likud 25 (30)
Yesh Atid 22 (11)
Bayit Yehudi 16 (8)
Arab Bloc 13 (13)
Yahadut Hatorah 11 (6)
Machane Tzioni 8 (24)
Yisrael Beitenu 7 (6)
Shas 7 (7)
Kulanu 6 (10)
Meretz 5 (5)

This doesn’t make any sense. Where will Yahadut Hatorah get the extra 5 seats from? No chiloni is going to vote for them. The Sefarde Bnei Torah will continue to vote for Shas (or Eli Yeshai). Did the Charedie voting population suddenly double in the last few years? Who does these polls?
to Number #1,
The charadim have LOTS of kids, and so their numbers are continuing to rise. Problem is many hate their own askenizy party and vote for Likud. Note that Likud is dropping and Yahadut HaTorah is upping.
Guess they are switching directions…
